About the role
In this role you will play a pivotal role in transforming data into actionable insights that drive strategic decision-making across the organization. You will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing insightful reports, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large datasets from multiple sources to identify patterns, trends, and insights that inform business strategies and operational improvements.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using Business Intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, or similar) to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
- Work closely with stakeholders across various departments, including underwriting, claims, marketing, and finance, to understand their data needs and provide tailored analytical solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy by implementing data governance best practices and collaborating with data engineering teams.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the business intelligence strategy, including the identification of new opportunities for leveraging data analytics.
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure business performance and effectiveness, providing regular updates and recommendations to management.
- Provide guidance and mentorship to junior analysts, fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment within the team.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or a related field, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
- Strong proficiency in BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and data visualization techniques.
- Extensive knowledge of SQL and experience with data warehousing and ETL processes.
- Excellent analytical skills with a strong attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data sets.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
